Founded in 1922, LARUSMIANI is Milan's oldest expression of gentlemen's fashion.
Originally a traditional tailoring house, it grew into a global destination for clients seeking a timeless aesthetic built on quality, discretion, and measure, entirely independent of fleeting trends.
Over the decades, the brand expanded beyond tailoring to source the world's rarest materials, like vicuña, establishing its position in textile excellence.
Today, this vision is anchored at the Via Verri boutique in the heart of Milan, with the same language of elegance extending to exclusive locations like Ibiza, Porto Cervo, and Lake Como. Evolving while preserving its identity, the brand remains shaped by time and guided by taste.
Milan is not only where we were born. It is where we belong.
Since 1922.
In 1922, in Milan, Guglielmo Miani Sr. opened his tailoring house, marking the beginning of what would become the longest-standing expressions of milanese gentlemen’s fashion in the city.
From the outset, LARUS was defined by a rigorous approach to quality, measure, and client relationships, going beyond garments to interpret a personal style meant to endure.
In 1954, LARUS opened its fourth boutique on Via MonteNapoleone, set to become one of the most recognised addresses of Milanese elegance.
During these years, the maison introduced vicuña to Italy, one of the rarest and most precious fibres in the world, reflecting a pursuit of excellence.
In 1970, Guglielmo Miani Sr. was awarded the title of Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE).
A recognition of an entrepreneurial vision able to extend beyond Italian borders.
In 1973, Riccardo Miani took leadership of the company, ensuring continuity of the family vision.
LARUS, now renamed into LARUSMIANI, strengthened its presence in high-end textiles under his direction.
In 2006, Guglielmo Miani, third generation of the family, became Chief Executive Officer, having joined the company in the early 2000s.
With a vision shaped by international experience in textiles, he led LARUSMIANI into a new phase, expanding its universe beyond tailoring while reinforcing its contemporary positioning.
In 2015, LARUSMIANI integrated Aldo Lorenzi, a historic Milanese house founded in 1929 and specialised in handcrafted objects and accessories.
Knives, writing instruments, travel accessories, and leather goods became part of the boutique’s offering, reflecting a precise artisanal tradition rooted in material selection and craftsmanship.
An extension of LARUSMIANI elegance into the daily rituals of the Milanese gentleman.
Created by Guglielmo Miani in 2019, the FuoriConcorso event series celebrates the finest aspects of automotive culture with events and rallys in Italy and around the world.
The main FuoriConcorso event is held annually in May in the gardens of Villa Grumello, Villa Sucota and Villa Olmo, amongst the most glamorous estates overlooking Lake Como and the surrounding mountains. Every year, the special exhibition highlights a different aspect of automotive history and creativity with a line-up of iconic, rare and previously unseen custom cars and prototypes.
Furthermore, FuoriConcorso has impressed the car community with a series of creative spin-off events, such as road rallies for white collector cars and exhibitions at Villa Necchi Campiglio and Museo Bagatti Valsecchi in Milan.
In 2022, LARUSMIANI celebrated one hundred years of history.
A milestone reflecting the continuity of three generations and a vision that has remained consistent over time, evolving without losing its identity.
From its origins in tailoring to its contemporary universe, each phase has contributed to defining a distinct language, rooted in Milan and recognised internationally.
In 2023, LARUSMIANI inaugurated its new boutique on Via Verri, a space bringing together the different expressions of the brand in the heart of Milan.
In the same year, the Automotive Gallery was launched, a curated selection of rare and iconic automobiles that expands the maison’s vision beyond tailoring, creating a dialogue between craftsmanship, design, and automotive culture.
